What can I manage with MacAid’s app manager?

MacAid lists installed apps and lets you sort by name, size, or last opened. You can reveal an app in Finder or confirm moving its app bundle to Trash. A separate leftover-data view identifies support folders associated with apps that are no longer installed.

01

Find the apps worth reviewing.

Use size and last-opened information to narrow the list. These are clues for your review, not proof that an app is unnecessary.

02

Know what an uninstall removes.

The uninstall action moves the selected .app bundle to Trash after confirmation. It does not promise to remove every associated preference, support folder, or account record.

03

See what removed apps left behind.

Leftover discovery shows support folders and their sizes. Apple-owned and recently modified folders are excluded. This view currently supports discovery and review, not automatic leftover removal.

From insight to a clear choice

A simple place to start.

  1. 1

    Open your app list

Browse the installed apps and sort by size, name, or last opened.

  2. 2

    Take a closer look

Review the app you’re considering removing. Reveal it in Finder if you need more context.

  3. 3

    Confirm the app-bundle removal

Choose Uninstall and confirm moving the selected app bundle to Trash. App removal is part of MacAid Pro. Review leftover findings separately.

Removing an app is separate from its subscription.

Moving an app to Trash does not cancel its subscription, delete its online account, or guarantee that every related file is removed. Manage billing with the app’s provider. Keep support data you may need before deciding on any additional file cleanup.

How MacAid handles your data

A little more clarity.

Does MacAid remove app leftovers automatically?

No. MacAid discovers and displays eligible leftover support folders for review. Its current app-uninstall action removes the app bundle, and the leftover-data view does not provide automatic removal.

Can I sort apps by the last time I opened them?

Yes. The app list supports sorting by last opened, size, and name. Use the available information as context rather than treating it as a recommendation to uninstall.

Do I need a plan to manage apps?

The app list, sorting, Finder reveal, and leftover-data discovery work without a plan. Uninstalling, which moves the app bundle to Trash after you confirm, is part of MacAid Pro. Try it free for 14 days, with no card required. If you used MacAid before the current terms took effect, cleanup stays free for you.
